Lemon - I'm with Doogzzz, some weirdo hacked my debit card and spent about 30 on booze a few fridays ago and also got a load of chicken nuggets later, any chance the bank can get my money back from this nefarious fiend who always strikes during my 'fuzzy friday' memory periods.

Well your chances are less as they would be pin authorised whereas ginger has them authorised using the cvv. In addition Sam I think ur bank would question transactions close to your home being claimed as fraud especially when fraudsters don't tend to spend 4.99 on nuggets.

Useful tips there Lemon... Ok, Ill be putting a claim in for fraud in Feb after a weekend away in Brighton and again in August after a Stag do in Cardiff... Both far from home, ill pay for everything by cheque hahha

Had a look into this and the FIFA 12 thing is all part of a current ongoing problem.

Basically the Ultimate team feature which is what your two achievements relate to. Allow people who hack your accounts to use your MSpoints to buy trade packs. They then basically forward them to another account and sell them from that account for real money. It goes into further detail in that article but basically that's what they've done in a nutshell. Further investigation through IGN has hinted that customer support on this matter means it may take them 25 days to resolve the issue should they migrate your account to another country. But also apparently MS points very rarely are ever returned even in the case of a hack. Which is what their article says when speaking to the Microsoft guy in charge of Live Security and Customer Support.

Points are returned, provided MS are informed & it follows this now normal method of attack.. (Yours is and so you'll get back what you had at time of attack)
Achievements never are removed despite what the support team are saying (I think they're saying that just to placate people).


That Viper friend will be either be a dummy account that was used to transfer the FIFA points to.. OR, if used in the Family Gold fraud, used as a dummy account to shuffle points onto & then be sold through various auction sites..
(the main one being fingered is a Polish based site).

I know its also zero help, but perhaps its also time to ensure that credit cards/paypal are not linked to the account and use the pre-pay accounts (Or see if your bank will offer a debit card virtual account (You have to transfer money to that account to spend on it)). Both options will give a higher level of security...

Equally, Linked accounts (& this goes to Facebook enabled Login sites too) are always inherently dangerous.. - Lose that one account and theres a huge number of sites that will be wide open as a result. And who knows what information can be leaked and further repercussions could happen.....
Consequences will never be the same!

Well I'm finally back online!

Had my 2000 M$ refunded and also got an additional 2 months XBL membership - not bad.

But I've got to have FIFA12 on my profile (they can't remove it!) and all my hard work completing LEGO:SW III The Clone Wars has been in vain as it's lost everything & got to start it all again! - that's 30 hrs of my life down the drain! Great!

Anyway - downloading the latest GoW3 DLC at the moment.

good news ginge, well apart from the fifa and lego but id trade that shit for the account so alls well that ends well. nice to hear they give you a bit more gold, presumably cause you dont have your account for a while

Last night (Sunday 19th) was gaining some more medals on Gow3 with Ridge and thought I'd try for some more this morning!

Low and behold! I have now discovered I've lost all of my saves on Campaign and Arcade! Everything

So i've got to start it all again from the beginning!

But the one saving grave is I've not lost any of the cheevos!

Was this due to the Rising Fenix DLC (maybe, i have read there has been issues suffered by other gamers) but this is not the first time something like this has happened to me! I lost all my multiplayer cheevos i'd obtained on the first Gears ages ago.

Oh the joys of gaming! Great!
