I have been running a rule with Tiger recently of skipping a year, so I have done 6, 7, 9 and 11 on the 360 so far skipping 10 and 12.

I don't know if it's skipping a year that has made me exited about this one or if they have actually tweaked it to make it better anyway but it does look like it's shaping up to be worthy of a grab (maybe not on release).

The Masters (12) was meant to be good.. Taking away the 'beat Tiger' aspect of all the other games, and setting it more with caddies and actually playing; as well as the involvement of the Masters (arguably, the selling point, but was all work creating that aspect and less on moving the game forward?)

I notice they've got some other guy on the cover, Could this be the start of a renaming of the series?


Watching the vid, they're saying the swing mechanics is all new? Nope. That draw/fade has been around since day 1, they just didnt have the need for some daft graphic displaying it..
Same with the ball hitspot, and the swing (the swing mechanic was on the ball graphic, not around the player)... And how long till people just switch to the 3 button mechanism?
1 club = 65 million possible swing results? yeah, Ill accept that number, mathematically possible and all that, but its not really a selling point is it? Its like selling a car with the main plus point being the wheels can rotate 360 degrees.
So the selling point for the game is the Emperor's new clothes.. Sorry EA, mixed in with last years DLC 'drive' (pun intended), and your server removals, and this 'hey, this old stuff is new again'

Did the video cut off for anyone else at 4.09? I seem to be left with the guy pulling his best O face. Its making me feel all dirty
