Does the data protection mean that Xbox shouldn't keep your credit card details on file indefinitely anyway. I'm not that coverse in the ins and outs of that act. But I'm sure it's a year or less you can store them.

The DPA is about storing your details and not leaking/disclosing that information to other users (EG, If I phone em & they give me details about you.. That is breaking the DPA)
There's a fine available for the person who breaks the DPA (ie the staff worker) but so far, companies have been fined, but not individual staff (with the exception of single person 'companies')
Theres regulatory requirements about the actual storing, but theyre tied not to the DPA but agreements within the financial sector.. (& differing levels of security requirements based upon the data being stored) MS being a large provider of Enterprise based server software has a high security level within the financial sector (amongst others) - which is partially why live isnt falling for school boy errors like Sony did.
i will just use paypal, you still might be able to buy prepaid cards but they will just have a money value as opposed to points. will mean they won't be sold on the cheap so much. i dont have a credit card never will.
Feisty one you are!
