Pete Molyneux talks about the peado simulator 'Milo'

OK. I'm joking, not quite a peado simulator, but wait until the Daily Mail gets to play with it..

Although a link on kotaku, the video is Molyneux talking about how they have moved from the original (scripted) demo with Kate, to a more live action version..

What If The Xbox Kinect Virtual Boy Simulator Is Great?

The audience of this aren't game people, hence them explaining how kinect works...

From the vid, the Milo idea might be a crackingly good idea, however, I do have the 'molyneux factor' in the back of my mind!

Part of the fun of this, might not be 'its a game', but as a tech demo, but it shows they have moved from the original demo to having a reason why your talking to him (you're Milo's imaginary stranger danger friend)

You get to give Milo a choice between squishing a snail or leaving it alone..
Squishing it means that Milo will become a wife beater and mass murderer in later life

Watching the vid, it seems Milo is more like Viva Pinata than hardcore game (yet VP was able to suck up entire sunday's given the chance!)
and could well put this back on the radar for being enjoyable!

The peado simulator is because that's the rep that game was getting when the original showing of it came about...

and the squishing of snails is a choice in the game..
I think its harkenning back to the days of 'Black and White' where your actions train the creature.. Be nice to the creature & it would be nice to the populace, licking & playing with them... But slap the creature around too much and it would learn that hard discipline is the correct method & would then lay the smackdown on your poor populace.. (another Molyneux game, great in theory rather poor in practice)
The vast majority of Molyneux designed games have followed this progression of AI learning, with varying degrees of successful game on it!

It really does.. - It just depends if it turns out to be Molyneux's exaggerations, or some place closer to the truth..

Shame its took over 2 years for something that might be just somewhat be considered a game
