Thread: Mass Effect 2 Lair of the Shadow Broker Review

Bioware's latest and largest DLC for Mass Effect 2 was released yesterday and being a giant alien humping swine that i am i got stuck in the moment it was available. I'll keep largely spoiler free i hope but look out for the spoiler tags.

The DLC is available now on the market place for 560 M$ points and starts with Shepard getting intel on the shadow brokers location from Cerberus. If you remember Liara mentioned she was still hunting the shadow broker and asked for any Intel you collect. Armed with said intel a quick stop at Liara's office and away you go.

2 boss scraps, the second is bad ass, the first is just annoying

and lots of exploring of emotions later you finish the DLC wondering where it all went wrong, did i miss something? here this cant be from Bioware. I am not saying its bad its just forgetable even the liara stuff that they handled so well is not compelling or emotionally charged at all. It feels lazy or like its been done by a different team all together. The whole point of the DLC was to re united you with Liara yeah they did that but what was the point.

You get a few achievments, some intel items, and some new research materials thats really about it for a sub par, sub 2hr DLC. Bang it on hardcore and stroll through it oh and one thing to look out for i did it on insane and the achivement didn't unlock!!!

Its hard to recommend but maybe i was just having an off day, surely bioware cant have dropped the ball this much

5/10 - Too short and forgetable

mass effect 2 is to me the best game the xbox has to offer, this is the master of any single player game, the new dlc is another brilliant piece of bioware but i finished it in 3 hours, should be priced at 560ms points but still its essential to own if you plan on getting mass effect 3.

I presumed it was 560 points like the others, so how much is it actually :/
Oh and this the only negative review I've seen :S

I think it was 800 msp!
