Don’t get me wrong, i’ve been a big fan of the Grand Theft Auto series since the early days, and i had sky high hopes for the latest installment.
Perhaps that’s the problem, maybe i was expecting too much. But after you see past the better graphics on the Xbox 360 you’re left with pretty much the same game that was Vice City / San Andreas etc. Sure its a brilliant achievement, the most believable virtual world you can get, you wax lyrical for weeks about this and that and the other.
But you know what? I feel like i’ve seen it all before, Vice City and GTAIII had me gripped, but every installment since then (including the two for the psp) hasn’t won me over in quite the same vein.
Perhaps its because this is the third time i’ve visited Liberty City. Maybe its because i don’t much care for the new central character Niko too much. Maybe im getting tired of the constant knob jokes.
Or perhaps this game was just so over-hyped that it was never going to match my lofty expectations.

And look forward 2 many happy hours of mugging old ladies, selling drugs, killing coppers, shagging prossies and aveing mad car chases. Whats not 2 like?
