Thread: Gears Of War 2 gave me Red Ring Of Death

So there i was, on release day for Gears2, rushing round to get my copy from Morrisons for a thrifty ?29.99 bang on opening time.

Straight back up the road, console on, disk in tray within 10 minutes of purchase. Anticipation was indeed high.

Watched the opening trailer, “this looks good”, i thought.

And then would you believe it - system locks up, and on a restart the dreaded red ring of death appears.

Not happy.

I realise its unfair to blame Gears Of War for my misfortune, but hey im not in a fair mood.
One phonecall later and my xbox 360 is booked on a plane to Germany.

Same thing happened to me. i was about an hr into the game on day of release and the console jus froze.. the three rings of death appeared, cudnt belive it :(
