Avatar Awardables In The Pipeline

It seems Microsoft may be getting ready for the release of the Xbox Avatar Marketplace, after it’s been confirmed that the mysterious Beta ’09 symbol on some Microsoft employees gamercards is indeed the new store.

As you can see in the above picture one tester “Randy No Arms” has even been caught sporting an all Halo get up, although not of the type many were hoping for (full Spartan Armour please).

With any luck the really cool gear will be available for getting in-game achievements, like COG armour for completing Gears 2 on Insane, if the awards could be retrospective that would be even better, SAS gear for completing COD4 on Veteran would be nice and a definite badge of honour that would spice up the Avatar system.

they could tie the Avatar in properly with the achievement system, Sony have their little trophies remember the gamer pic for completing the seriously achievement in the 1st gears having that sort of thing instead of just stuff too buy. Spartan Armour would rock and hard

would be nice to dress up as master cheif or a cog gear also
they should make the themes so that you hold weapons etc which would be cool

With most games going too persistant characters like fable and Mass effect would be cool for you Avatar too reflect your character. A fat evil dude or a bad ass shepard would be cool

Yeah would be a nice idea, unfortunately our overlords have already ruled that one out, “no replacing avatar features or clothing and no changing proportions”

I see you finally managed to pick up a copy of UFC, I was playing it the other day and thought it was pretty good but I still prefer Fight Night...

Good old Bungie they have confirmed unique avatar clothing and a Surprise will be available too players who have completed the VIdmaster challenges and certain achivements for ODST as well as partaking in the reach beta.
