M$ face off with BBC over iPlayer

As most already know you can get access to the iPlayer on the PS3 and even the Wii, so why not Xbox 360 I hear you ask, well (as is you haven?t already guessed) it?s because M$ want to restrict access to Gold subscribers and the BBC cannot charge for content as we already pay the Licence Fee.

This does not fit with the BBC's model and Microsoft will not budge at the moment. It is really frustrating for those involved on the BBC side who want to make sure iPlayer is rolled out on as many popular entertainment platforms as possible.
So M$?s greed does us out of another service, nice one.

Well that is annoying, Micro$oft already make us pay for live, DC and many other things but they can't let us have one thing for free
