Thread: MW 2 No Russian Level discussion

I play the xbox for escape from reality of the world outside, so all i play including MW2 is entirely for enjoyment and not meant to be real, even tho it is real

I tend to relax more listening to music and struggling through games and enjoying the challenge, i may sound sad, but that is my day done, even if i only play in evenings

If you design a game and create any section (let alone a whole mission) where you can freely reign terror on the general public, then you're looking for an impact,
your asking for controversy, and I'm really pleased IW decided to do it.

nearly any other game would have been banned as soon as it hit certification, But with such a big game, PEGI knew they'd have more of an uproar from millions than a few thousand complaining about a few dead civilian polygons.


You could speculate, that, IW are, like EA sick and tired of PEGI etc, and are backing a goverment based certification system for all saleable media (movies, music, etc)
And they used MW2 as a joyride to the house of commons so the issue of games ratings get's through the goverment which is something groups have been trying to do for years now.

But i'll put my money on this...

Infinity ward, knew they had to top MW.. making the story "slightly" longer, while somehow making it more impacting, and more accessible.
So dropping the difficulty slightly dealt with the latter,
and missions of betrayel, and terrorism where certain to give MW2 the boost it needed..

keeping the core gameplay mechanics the same and adding ina few extra killstreaks kept us all happy.

I thought the airport level wasnt bad at all. At the end of the day Its only a bloody game.

The wife was horrified at the level. She actually had to walk out of the room as I was walking around the airport looking for any stragglers crawlng for cover. She didnt see the funny side of it. On the other hand, my eldest nephew wants to be a russian now. But he is 7 and mental, he's not fazed by any crap I play,

He secretley borrowed GTA IV for 3 months form me for the PSP before his parents realised. The stupid wee shit gave it away as he was drving about the yard in his toy tractor shouting random swear words and pretending to do drive bys at the ducks. Muppet.

ANy whoos back to the man topic. Its only a game,Nuff Said.....

6 Days in Falujah will be more graphic and get alot more shit if it ever gets released.
