I just played as the marine and literally shat myself when playing it 2bh, this game will be awesome once all of us have it, i found myself standing in a corner waiting for people to run past cause i didn't want go out into the darkness! lol i came top tho with 20 kills not bad for a first go, ill have a go at the aliens now
Well, I played this last night, and... I'm not terribly impressed. I'm really hoping it's just because it's a demo - I mean, bog-standard deathmatch is hardly the best way to impress someone. All the races felt kind of naff in their own right - I imagine that's because I'm not used to the controls and stuff yet, but none of them stood out as being very much fun to play as.
I only had a quick go with each race, since after that I kept getting disconnected, which probably didn't help matters, lol.

Not a great demo to promote the game in all fairness. but I agree, it could come into it's own when people master the classes/controls.
I can see stories popping up all over the forums from marine players after surviving great battles with Predators and aliens picking off members of their squads in dark, dank space hulks.
Either way, I do think a certain percentage of the fans will be disappointed with the demo and expectations will drop. But all things bieng well with the game, good reviews should bring it back into the hearts and minds of the lost and non-believers.
Hehe, it will be if the rest of the game turns out to be shit.

Haven't played the AvP demo again yet, but I did buy the other game this thread is about, Chime.
Like Arctic says, a lovely 50G just for getting the game, and the first few achievements after that are nice and simple.
Gameplay is fairly straightforward - you place Tetris-style blocks on a grid to make 'quads' (blocks stuck together so they cover 3x3 squares on the grid or greater). Every block you place on the grid affects the music in some way, with either little notes, or big samples and melodies. It's a really, really nice idea, and I found it to be really good fun.
The songs don't really get annoying on repeated plays either, since they sound slightly different every time, depending on how you play. Although you don't get that many different ones, so I imagine they will get a bit old after a while. It's not my usual sort of music, but I actually found "For Silence" to be pretty damn beautiful.
My biggest complaint with this game though, is the brightness. Every time you make a decent looking quad, the game rewards you with a blinding flash of light. Now, you're already staring at bright colours on a black background, so the combination of all this weirdness is going to take its' toll on your eyes, eventually. It got to the point on Friday night where I had to stop playing the game, because the damn flashes were giving me a screaming headache. So, to make this game the nice, relaxing puzzler it should, and easily could be, I implore the creators - either take out the flashes, or at the very least add some brightness control!
