Have you ever considered getting a Gaming headset for your Xbox 360...
and we don't mean the ?9.99 official equivalent.

Well, from as little as ?30, they cost less than a Wireless Mic for your 360, and give you high-quality sound, with built in Xbox Live Chat.

And if you're an evening/night-time gamer, the benefits of being able to have your game-sound as loud as you want without disturbing your family is a god-send.

So below, is a little list of the best 3 headsets, for price, features & quality

The Turtle Beach - Earforce X11. (?50-?60)

There are cheaper variants available in the XLC & X1 models, But the X11's are the newest addition to the budget range of headphones,
They give oversized soft-mesh ear-pieces (very comfortable even after 6-8 hours of gaming), audio boost and pass-through. boosting chat when game audio is loud (Explosions etc) and allows you to softly hear your own voice, meaning your less likely to end up shouting at people because you havnt noticed how loud your actually speaking.

overall, the X11 follow on from the very popular X1 range, adding extra comfort, with the same 2-channel stereo sound, and a (more than long enough) 10ft Wire.
The X11's are tough to get hold of at the moment (due to only just being released) but can be found on ebay(import) for ?60, and should be flooding your local stores soon for a similar price tag.

Turtle Beach - Earforce X41 (?150)

The most expensive headset in the Turtle Beach range, But well worth every penny.
These include all the features of the X11's, but add in high quality Dolby 7.1 surround with Digital Optical pass-through, On top of that, these are Wireless, and give an impressive 20-25 hours from a pair of AA batteries. The only cable is to the game-pad, when you want Live Chat.
in all that makes the X41's the cheapest Dolby surround & Wireless headphones.

Astro - A40 (?150)

While I've never used Astro's myself, I cant compare the sound quality to that of the X41's. (And feel they're overpriced for what you're getting,
But if you want alledged, unequalled sound quality (dolby 5.1 surround) then the Astro A40's are the pinnacle of gaming headsets, They are Wired, and from what Blacknight has told me, there's ALOT of Wires. but if you simply want the best quality sound possible, then look towards the Astro.

Final word....
While it's never easy, the decision is ultimately, upto YOU!!!
But for little more than the price of a new game, the X11's are a great place to start.
Those wanting to really improve there gaming, surround sound is a big bonus, and anyone with kids/pets might be pushed towards the X41's, or if wires arent an issue, then maybe the A40's are for you..

Personally I would suggest the Turtle Beach X41's,
The Wireless w/25 hour battery life is a BIG Bonus,
Although since the rise in popularity of the X41's Astro have now slashed the price of the A40's to only ?150.

Pretty annoying, considering, they're clearly still seeing profit, so they've been making a bucket of cash off anyone who's already paid ?200 or even ?250 for them,.

So, If you're still unsure, feel free to ask us in our Forum theres 2 who have the A40's, the same have the X41's, and I think at least 4-5 have the X11's so there's plenty of opinions to gather.
