Call of Duty: Black Ops - Hardened & Prestige Editions Confirms Zombies

The the Hardened and Prestige Editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops were announced yesterday and both come packaged with a card entitling you to redeem four co-op maps (yeah additional content for “special editions”, original). What you may not know is that said maps are in fact updated versions of those featured in World at War's Nazi Zombies mode.

Whether the Zombie mode will be in the game as standard, is unknown and I may venture that this will probably not sway anyone one way or t’other about buying Black Ops, I personally at no point while playing MW2 thought to myself that the game could be substantially improved by the addition of Zombies.

Even more worrying to me is the idea that the Spec ops co-op missions from MW2 (a genuinely great game mode) could be cut in favour of Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is due for release on November 9th, 2010.

As good as Spec Ops was I've probably gotten more enjoyment out of zombies, not that I wouldn't like to see Spec Ops in Black Ops. Hell, they share the word 'Ops' in the title so it'd be a no-brainer to include it

Wait, they are going to just be remakes of the WaW zombie maps? That's stupid. Not to sound like a AVGN but I demand new maps!

I’ve been demanding new maps for BF:BC2 since it came out, proper new maps not just rehashed existing ones! Lazy gits.

They have released more info regarding their saved films system. Looks like a much more feature rich version than before. They have ripped the halo system off completely which is fantastic news, a fully detached camera multi POV etc and it saves your last 100 games. Could be great fun for vids especially the zombie modes.
