Thread: DIRT 3 Preview

Is it going to be like all the other rally games boring well appartently not it'll have 100+ tracks which is over twice the amount that DIRT 2 had.Codemasters have said that DIRT 3 wil have snow effects if that means driving a rally car round a track that has the same effects that FORZA 3 had at the Nurburgring trying to keep a car on the track in the snow in that game was highly entertaining and very difficult then it'll be a good game.

What else is on offer then well 50 years worth of cars from the mini coopers to the audi quattro's and not forgetting the ford fiestas.New drivers are being introduced but whether they are drivers we know and recognise will be another thing.Races are in the usual places like kenya,europe,usa and scandinavia.

For off-line play you get a 2 player split screen view and there's a rumour that DIRT 3 will have the same sort of social networking that Need for speed hot pursuit uses i.e your friend beats your time while your off-line as soon as you come back on you'll be get a message asking to beat it.Anything else well yes it has dynamic weather and day/night cycle and gymkhana events to chain together highscores and complete challenges.IF all this does come out in DIRT 3 then i will certainly be buying it

Dirt 2 killed it for me, I have been to 50+ Rally events in the UK with work and yet all they featured was battersea power station, its offensive and sick that they even put Colins name to the last one, thank god they have some respect and not put his name next to this bag of turd.

And for the record on those 50+ events I never saw a single 'RV' I never saw any man made jumps, any fireworks...ah you know what I wont go on!

Has anyone bought this? looking on youtube, it looks pretty good... although playing it might be an all together different storey

i have bought this, its really short and nearly all the rally stages are over in about 1 min 20 secs thats it. its arcade style handling you dont need to be a god at driving to keep it on the road, graphics are good it has rallying, rallycross, landrush,head to head trailblazer buggies and trucks, and GYMKHANA and a few other trick game modes. as said before graphics are good but IMHO in gameplay its yards short of colin mcrae 3 and rallisport challenge 2. a rental only if you ask me

I will do what I did with dirt 2 and grab it at a tenner

Out of interest have they bothered to include the UK in any of this one? (and not battersea power station)
