Mass Effect 2: Arrival DLC Announced

Not sure how i managed to miss this one but the last DLC for Mass Effect 2 launches on March 29, 2011 for 560 Microsoft Points. The final DLC aims to show how close the reapers are to dragging their stinking arses back for another kicking. No details on length but i'd stick my neck out and say its a story heavy 2 hours (ish).
Personally i cant wait all the other DLC has been spot on and i am sure Bioware wont let the bar slip.

Story wise Shepard is sent to rescue an undercover operative who may have information about an imminent Reaper invasion. Admiral Hackett returns and will be playing a key role in the mission's story.

The DLC is fantastic for the most part lots of extras. My favourite was the Lair of the shadow broker DLC very good story and Liara is so fucking fit for a blue alien chick made entirely of Triangles

You can't go wrong with ME2 DLC, apart from the appearance packs which look wank. The Equaliser Weapon Pack was the well worth it for the 3 barreled shotgun jobbie - made the game a doddle! I'm glad they've got The Lance back, I thought he was sorely missed from the game - I can't decide if his appearance is a bit too "let's make him a grizzly bad-ass", maybe since they've got Lance Henrikkksssssssseeessseeeenn doing the voice they felt the need to give him a suitably grizzled look.

I just read today that all of this DLC will be a Shepard solo mission..

Commander Shepard will be flying solo for the final slice of Mass Effect 2 DLC. The Arrival will see you journey to the very edge of charted space to help out an operative with early intelligence on an imminent Reaper invasion, but none of your companions will tag along for the ride. It looks as though Bioware are planning a challenging end to the last piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC with plenty of combat and not much conversation.
so no help from the team at all. Hmmmm not sure if that will be a good or bad thing to be honest, but it's Mass Effect so I will get it anyway

does that not kind of defeat the point? there was a mission in rsv2 you had to do by yourself which i thought was daft because the games main feature was the little squadmates that you told what to do

I don't know the Kasumi Goto dlc was pretty much by yourself. In terms of companions you had her and that was it. Which on insanity was quite challenging in itself but definitely made the mission last longer. So I think solo might be good even if you do lose something from the whole combining abilities that you get with companions. I think there were a few missions in KOTOR you went on by yourself. Definitely the final boss in that game.
Unless the idea behind this development is given the amount of outcomes from the end of the game. To make the third outing easier you go solo so that something can happen to your team-mates off screen.

I didn't know this dlc was solo thats a shitter. Bioware probably want to streamline the story. Wouldn't surprise me if the rest of your team were doing a different mission and some croak it. Trust in Bioware they know what they are doing :-)
