Thread: FIFA 12 Gameplay Footage

EA have released the first official trailer for the upcoming FIFA 12 showing off all their latest updates including the highly touted "imapct engine" which should hopefully stop your players stumbling around like zombies after challenges...

For sports games to survive they can't release one every year, because I bet even though the number of console owners has gone up and up sales of these games have gone down.

What they need to do IMO is release one every other year BUT release a big DLC pack in the gap years for updated clubs, players etc.Doing things this way gives them much more time to make a better (and different) game from the last one, I speak from a Tiger Woods point of view but I assume Fifa and the rest suffer the same problem of staleness!

I think Marc the G has a good point, instead of making new games, because i know that alot of people that played FIFA 11 this past year on xbox friends will probably end up not buying FIFA 12, and also the use of patch to improve games rather than bringing out a new one every year

tbh marc i think youd be surprised at the sales of FIFA. obviously i dont have access to the numbers, but id guess they get pretty consistent sales every year.

the way i think it is, there will be a strong "hardcore" group who will buy every year no matter what (and no doubt quit and cheat like cunts on every game). and alongside that there are drop-ins, who maybe buy every 2nd or 3rd year, and a fairly consistent number of people who will try it for the first time (put it this way, kid gets new console, hes not going to buy fifa 11 when 12 has just been released).

for everyone thats just had enough and chucks it theres a young kid who loves Man U getting a 360 for christmas.

While I agree with Marc, Gary is the one who has hit the button on the head.

While there are muppets who religously buy it, the development of a new fifa every year is a no brainer. Some of the other titles like Madden I think are becoming every other year now because the fan base is not so big.

That said, I for one will not be buying it. EA have failed to convince me there is any improvement over last years abortion job, and the enhanced "falling over engine" doesn't sell it to me.

I will cut my own testicles off if I get it.

I make that promise to you, in the hope I never get really, really drunk, drive into down, run a few people over, go into game, curl out a turd on the till, buy the game and come home and play it.

Which perhaps is foreboding, as I've done all the above except buying the game
