The dust is settling on Microsofts E3 keynote speech and the good news is, if you have Kinect you're in luck, if you dont there is always Halo............

Kinect was the common theme demoed and discussed at length through Microsoft Keynote from new uses of the hardware to new games and much more. We were treated to Forza 4 and some nifty yet utterly pointless head motion sensing. Move your head and your in car avatars moves as well. Awesome!!

Mass Effect has taken a slightly different approach. You can bark orders at your team using kinect and even speak out the shepards responses available on the dialogue wheel. Sounds shit tbh i'd like to be able to point to cover and tell my team to move or shoot there if your playing as a biotic why not use your hands to throw a singularity or something. Come on bioware

One thing that i did enjoy was Tomb raider which looked amazing and seems to be a whole new direction for the struggling Franchise. The Lara on show was a much younger Lara but no less acrobatic and for those who are interested, Yes she still "bounces"
I was less impressed with the Cod Demo it's just more of the same shit from a mash up of developers. Sure it will sell a truckload but will probably stink and be incomprehensible to anyone older than 12.

Next up was the return of Ghost Recon future soldier fresh from a much needed rethink and overhaul. Ubisoft wisely sent the developers back to the drawing board and the demoed version is far more impressive this time. Still its a long way from GRAW 1 and 2 but visually its much better. Hats off to ubisoft for allowing the developers time to sort it out. It also support Kinect. Yipeeee!!

Cliffy B had a love in with Ice T, they held hands and proclaimed Gears 3 to be the single greatest achievement by humanity. The wheel.. Electricity, Modern Physics all pale compared to Epic's monsterously dull brown grey shooter. Just listening to him gave me a headache what a giant douche

Moving away from the games we have some new Multimedia capabilities coming. You'll soon be able to watch youtube and UFC on your xbox. Thats kind of neat all controlled by Kinect of course.
Also we're getting bing search which is shockingly shite i must add wow kill me now pleaseeeeee

Ahh screw it atleast we got Halo CE remake confirmed and Halo 4 shocked absolutely nobody.

All in all a pretty lackluster E3 from M$. No massive announcements Halo 4 withstanding. No hardware on show nothing that really makes you go Fuck yeah. Maybe it really is time to see what they have in store hardware wise. Kinect has been a massive success and yeah i can see why they might want to extend the life cycle of the 360 but nothing gets us going like a shiny new toy.
