    It must be Thursday!

Yeap.. News of another game company getting hacked for the lulz and forum users details getting leaked..

This time, its Bioware's Neverwinter Nights forum..

Bioware are saying they didnt store details of users other than email/username/password(hashed).. but its still a further 18,000 accounts..

Ever played Neverwinter & used the forums? - Hope your password wasnt the same as you currently use!
Yesterday (June 14), we learned that a hacker gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare community server system associated with the Neverwinter Nights forums. We immediately took appropriate steps to protect our consumers' data and launched an ongoing evaluation of the seriousness of the breach. We have determined that no credit card data was compromised, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers. However hackers may have obtained information such as user account names and passwords, email addresses, and birth dates of approximately 18,000 accounts?a very small percentage of total users. We have emailed those whose accounts may have been compromised and either disabled their accounts or reset their EA Account passwords. If you did not receive an email from us, or if your password still works for your EA account, your username and password were not compromised. Nevertheless, changing your password regularly is always helpful to protect your account.

We take the security of your information very seriously and regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. If your username, email address and/or password on the Neverwinter Nights forums are similar to those you use on other sites, we recommend changing your password at those sites as well. We advise all of our fans to always be aware of any suspicious emails or account activity and report any suspicious emails and account activity to Customer Support
At this point.. its looking like its easier to list game companies' forums that havent been hacked then those that have..

In other 'hacking' news, players of eve online are getting upset as the Lulzboat has been DDoS the login servers making the game unplayable for the 2nd night running... (they're doing people a favour if you ask me )

The US xfactor applicant DB list was also pilfered, and now we just need the UK list to be obtained and we have the perfect method of IQ tests of who to euthanise.

Looks like things might be getting worse!

Earlier today, the lulzsec released a text file of around 50,000 usernames/passwords combinations..

and then retweets have come in of WoW accounts, gmails, paypals accounts have been accessed using them..
eg, '@phenomshel' (not the original author) on twitter said 'Leaked gmail account name & password. From there my facebook, hotmail & twitter where compromised'

another tweet indicates access to an account where they now have access to tax records & SS numbers. Doesnt have to be the sites its stolen from for it to affect another!

Different passwords (& different emails/account names) on every different site you visit!
