Let's hope Mr Bay doesn't get his grubby hands on the Halo movie when it is finally released, I dread to think what that would be like. To be honest I quite enjoyed Transformers 3 and the whole series but it certainly wasn't perfect but just good old fashioned mindless violence and explosions, at least Peter Cullen did the voice of Optimus Prime, that kept my anger and disappointment at these films in check!

I watched The Island just for that scene, it was the best part of the movie... that and the story was pretty good, shame about the actors.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake,

Maybe I'm getting old but with the Transformers films I find that there's too much action happening on screen to follow the course of the battles. I had a student once who was doing his coursework on action films and in a lesson we were watching part of the first Transformers film looking for standard action film signifiers. I spent the whole five minute sequence nodding along as if I had a clue what the f**k was meant to be happening. It's not like I don't know the whole Autobot vs. Decepticon story because I grew up in the Eighties, it's just that the big battle scene towards the end is a complete visual and aural assault. Give me the Enterprise vs. the Reliant in Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan anyday
