    Bungie unveil next title?

Has Bungie's Publishing Partner Activision released the first teasers to what Bungie are upto next? Screen shots seem to indicate they have

Codenamed Tiger Bungie have always wanted to make a space MMO could this be it? At the end of Bungie's last Vidoc ' O Brave New World' Bungie stated "We feel responsible for not just telling an isolated story but for building a universe that at some point is going to become more "the fans" than ours," said Bungie writer Joseph Staten. "It's going to take a life of its own."

I Didn't give it much thought at the time but it could mean a universe that evolves dependant on the players actions. On a large scale maybe not the size of WOW and MMO type games.

The desert picture is perhaps the most revealing out of the 3. The biggest visual clue is the amount of wind turbines in the picture clearly linked together generating power for something. I'll assume its powering the base that may just be out shot on the left. Deserts, mountains, Blue sky's and tellingly only 1 Sun in the 3rd image. Activision would surely have shown it were this game set on another planet. All conjecture of course but hey its allowed.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of
    cake.

It doesnt need to be an 'MMO' - at least in the sense of it..

Take Brink (please!) as games are played on that, it affects a larger world (at least on the website).
The idea is that you play a 8 v 8 game & the victor knocks up a win for a certain side.. over the course of a week, those wins are tallied up & that group get to take over a territory..
Of course, as it doesn't feed back into the game, its just pointless bunk.. Perhaps Bungie will include the feedback.

A question; and problem; with the above is when games just put you in either side as it doesnt matter (ie both sides are identical so its just red v blue), it means youll always end up with near 50% split between the two & so makes moving a larger storyline onwards rather pointless (or controlled not by the people but the game devs)

On the PS3, MAG did similar, you would play in a localised game but it would somehow tie into a larger scale war that in turn scaled into a larger one.. Not sure how that turned out tbh.

BTW, that image with the fan, if it was a wind power generator, its pointing to the wrong direction of where the dunes are collecting, therefore its not aimed into the wind.
Also, desert world, with rather close mountains, with is that snow on the peaks?

There is no way a full scale MMO is possible this gen on consoles.. Anyone remember Huxley.. I played that shit it was amazing but 10 years to soon. MMO doesn;t have to mean 1000 people together it can have other meanings.
It will be story driven and mostly impossible to follow
Mag is closer to what i think they may try and do especially if you add the mobile side they have invested in. Why stop playing when you turn your console off?

Nearly all desert mountain ranges have snow on the peaks in hot days terribly cold nights. I am pretty sure they are just tech demo clips showing real time lighting effects and bloom. May mean absolutely nothing but never let fact get in the way of an interesting story

I also watched your vidoc thing on bungie.net (55 minutes long, 5 minutes in, forwarded to the final 2-3 minutes you said),

So the images come from that.. A sand based world with some 'produced' structures on the land.. Holy Shit! theyre making Borderlands 2! lol

Its fair to say that 'logo' against the starred field will be the new logo for the next game, Won't be in halo universe, as they do not have the rights to utilise the halo universe (MS do, which is why Bungie bought themselves out of that contract (or completed it))

A console isn't the place for an WoW type MMO, but theres no reason why a similar number of players on a server couldnt exist (look at 1Vs100 for MMO integration on a console), Hence why halo 3 tells you theres x numbers on a playlist, but you only meet 16 of them.. a console MMO could be similar (quite frankly, I dont think an WoW type game would work on a console anyway; Bungie's a lot smarter than I, I daresay they would have done market research stuff and know what might be fanciful!)
Technically, Forza 3 is an MMO with its auction house (though granted, I have no idea on the number of 'players') - The only thing something needs to class itself as an MMO is a server that supports lots & lots of 'people' at once, they dont have to interact with eachother, but there should be some 'goal' for each person

How about this for a crazy idea :
Multi platform MMO that varies, yet interacts, dependant upon the platform your using..
On a PS3/360, you have a FPS style game You do shit & you get credits from it.
On a mobile device/web service, you take part in shit mini games type things; perhaps trading, gambling, overhead driving game, where you lose/earn credits that can be used to buy shit for your main character
(equally, your console character can loose shit when its playing - Reach has a credit system, Bungies well known for being also facist-like controllers of its 'cloud information', could this be an extension of a credit system? - play badly & you lose credits?

As for the fans/dune.. yes, its artistic representation and its all in a computer anyway (next youll be telling me Transformers is a documentary!) and its of 'another world' but I think with regards to 'gameplay' your sniffing a big red fish here..
