Driver: San Francisco demo available tomorrow.

For everyone who's interested in the latest entry of the Driver series, featuring a comatosed Tanner ghost-jacking people's cars (or something. My bet: it turns out to all have been a cheese induced dream), you can try out a single player demo which will be released on XBL tomorrow.
The demo apparently features 3 missions, "Prove It" a stunt heavy smash 'em up, "Escapist" a protect the VIP mission (ugh) and "Team Colours" where you have to control multiple cars, shifting between them to take the first and second place in a street race.

    Here's a trailer!

The game is due to release on September 2nd in the UK. Better watch out Gears of War 3, you've got some serious competition...

I have played the demo today, i like to say i dont like the control on the game, as there are far too many button to think about at one moment, and the mission could be frustrating if it gets harder towards the end, what i played was reasonable easy but that probably the first few missions from the start, but it is similar on multiplayer looking at youtube video, and with so many buttons i can see it getting very frenzy and might end up swearing at the TV, Driver 1 was good because you could choose the missions, but hopefully it doesnt have the frustrating missions and time limit that was in Driver 2

Just played it a 2nd time, a bit more thoroughly than the first time round. Few problems and reasons why I won't be buying it

    - Boring city, seriously it looks the same no matter what street you are on.
    - The people still can't be run over. They are pulled out of the way like they are on a mattress with string.
    - Annoying voice acting and worse script.
    - Uninteresting missions.
    - Reminded me too much off Stuntman at times.
    - The OTT story! I mean, really?

Besides the solid driving, which tbh, is what I should judge the game, far too many other things come in to play and put me off this game for good.

What? Are you joking? You must have been like negative 3 when the Playstation 2 came out, you young punk! You never played Halo 1 when it originally came out! I DESPISE YOU!

I played Halo and I also remember playing Driver 2, where you could run around with no gun, but one in your shadow...?

Peh, anyone complete Driver 1? - You could drive around a representation of newcastle once you completed it!

I seem to recall you had to speed around a representation of Eighth Circle of Hell - or maybe that was Newcastle? All I remember is I had to cheat to get past the opening mission which was impossible at best. Ninety degree corners in roads? CHECK. A highway system which hovers a few feet about an endless ocean once you leave the city? CHECK.

lol, the ps2 came out in 2000, i would have been 10 years old. i used my ps2 for a long time, right up until i got my 360 christmas 2009. i never had an original xbox so it would have been difficult for me to have played halo CE...
