PGR4 Tournament

The beauty of racing games is that we don't need to play at the same time to compete. I'm going to run a few lap time events and give everyone a week to do them. It's nice and simple, we pick the city, course, weather and class of car and we all see what time we can lay down.

Simple scoring system

1st 12 points
2nd 10 points
3rd 8 points
4th 7 points
5th 6 points
6th 5 points
7th 4 points
8th 3 points
9th 2 points
10th 1 point

Simple time frame, from Saturday to the following Friday at 8pm each week.

just run the course in your own time as little or as often as possible and we will see what the leaderboard looks like at the end of each week.

It goes without saying that you will need me (Marc The G) on your friends list to be able to be on my scoreboard!

Also feel free to post all lap times and trash talking in here etc, it goes without saying!

PS: If you do a lap and post a time on Sunday, you can still post another one on Monday, Tuesday....and so on etc! There is no limit to how many times you try, it's the end result that counts!

Marc, are you going to publish the current leading time (s)? Obviously some participants aren't going to be on my friends list but I'd prefer to know what I've got to beat....sorry attempt to beat.

Yeah I will do my best to publish a few updates during the week, a screenshot of the list would probably be my quickest option

I need some times on the leaderboard before I test, just so I know it's pulling in my friends list etc. My nephew will be going bed soon so I am going to kidnap his xbox and do a few laps on it at some point hopefully. I will test the link once I have a time on

Trying it after a bottle of wine isn't good, i'm 5 secs off Fez. Will try again tomorrow. 1.38.09 atm

1.32.91 with a bottle and half of wine. I got addicted to shaving seconds off.

In the Top 100, there are 10 MX-5 users, 3 Europa users and 1 2000GT. Everyone else used the Firebird.

I'm Rank 80 and Fez is 81 atm.

As it stands

I wish I was putting that up to brag but I don't feel sure of that time at all! I was getting times around the 1:40 mark for a few laps and only managed to get that time because I nailed one lap totally by fluke!

I didn't really want to do it in the Firebird because it's the car people expect but I have since tried other cars and they are a bit quicker in the corners but that Firebird just thunders down the straights!

In the DMC-12 I got the time of November 5 1955 so technically a win for me

A ha! Competition is warming up. I'd better get the 'bird out of the garage open a bottle and half of wine and give it a 3rd lap. Rank 80,81 & 82.
